Expected jobs
With the course 3D Character Animator - Programme in English, you can become:
3D Character Animator
The 3D character animator animates the actors of an animated film or series.
He specializes in the subtle movement of characters, the way they move, interact, experience emotions, transmit them, express all the complexity and richness of human behavior at the heart of a story, a game, a narrative scene.
The character animator renders the actor's behaviour through his acting with accuracy and refinement; at the same time the physical and mechanical language, the emotions conveyed, the facial expressions...
It expresses the non-verbal aspect of the character's movement... everything that constitutes the subtle and refined play of an actor.
This type of know-how is highly sought after by animation studios.
Learn moreDirector of 3D animation
The director leads the team artistically and technically. In the absence of or in collaboration with an artistic director, he defines the style of the work.
Learn moreShared between our studios in Paris, Montreal and London: 'Asterix, le Domaine des Dieux', 'Mune', 'Le Petit Prince', 'Sahara', 'Captain Underpants' or 'Sherlock Gnomes' are projects of very different size, nature and styles, but have in common their high level of demand and their ambitions, both artistic and technical. Animation is one of the crucial departments to carry out such projects, and our various studios are constantly looking for passionate artists to come to give life and soul to the characters. What we are looking for, above all, in an animator is a good understanding of the basics of animation (spacing, timing, body-mechanics, weight, cycles, lipsync...) but also, and mostly, a sensitivity to different styles (from cartoon to realistic), a high level of polish and actings and we are aware that training, through school and / or personal work, allow the acquisition of these skills.
