GOBELINS campus Paris - St Marcel

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Gobelins is closed until further notice.
The Summer Schools programmed for July are cancelled.

The good news is... we have replaced the regular summer school format by an ONLINE SUMMER SCHOOL IN VISUAL STORYTELLING

Write your story and craft a dynamic, visual presentation to pitch it!

Whether you’re interested in writing for film, television, animation, video games, VR, comics or children’s books; all require strong storytelling skills accompanied by images to communicate your vision. The art of blending story and image is at the heart of today’s entertainment industry... and it all begins with a pitch.
Building on 40 years of experience teaching animated storytelling, GOBELINS is organizing for the second time an International Summer School to enable students and professionals from around the world to better understand the creative process, structure, and presentation of visual storytelling. The principles discussed can then be applied to any form of storytelling.

Listen to Cécile Blondel, Director of International Development

Stories are my passion. Whether it's been written, imagined, created or designed by a young professional, a student or even a pupil, following any story's development is a magical journey. Nothing is more enchanting than witnessing the narrative take form, characters coming to life, or an entire universe emerging as the story blossoms.

At Gobelins, we've always been immersed in countless stories with our students during their final year. We'll often nurture individual projects for several years both closely and from afar.
The more we accompanied our students, the more we became convinced that inspiration is about sharing and diversity. Therefore, we were soon compelled to open the school to more inspiration from around the world. This gave rise to our international degrees and Summer Schools, which became incredibly inspirational experiences for both us and the students.
As such, we hope that you will be willing to share this creative experience with us through our new Summer School in Visual Storytelling so that we may grow together.
