Two graduation films are in the official selection
This year, two graduation films are in competition in the "Graduation Shorts" category: "COFFIN" (nominated for the 2020 Annie Awards) and "A FRIEND WHO SHINES IN THE NIGHT".

Launch of BRIDGES, a project to help African talent seize new opportunities
An innovative new project to develop an African animation series has been set up by the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) in partnership with international mentors and local experts from GOBELINS, Diprente Studios and Tshimologong Animation Academy. Called "BRIDGES", the initiative aims to create a platform for emerging African talent to be showcased to the global film and animation markets.
The series will consist of ten one-minute original short films, and will ultimately develop a library of compelling and entertaining films that will contribute to the growth and development of the local animation industry.
The launch of "BRIDGES" will take place on Thursday 16 June at 10am GMT, and will be followed by the launch of the animated short "RED ANTS", directed by Mogau Kekana, a concept and storyboard artist from Hillbrow, Johannesburg, who is currently a student in the Master of Arts programme at GOBELINS.

A speed recruiting will take place on Thursday 17 June
For professionals looking for animation talents, aspeed recruiting session will take place online on Thursday 17 June. During two exiting hours of interviews, professionnals will experience an efficient way to recruit highly sought-after profiles.

Discover a new short Graduation short by our students (promotion 2020) every Thursday at 1pm, starting next week, 1st of October!
GOBELINS is proud to announce the prestigious selection at the Berlinale 2020 of two of its graduation films in animation 2019: "Un diable dans la poche" by Mathilde Loubes and Antoine Bonnet and "Black Sheep Boy" by James Molle are on the program of the famous Berlin Film Festival which will take place from February 20th and March 1st!
Winner of the LA Shorts International Festival, and finalist of the « Student Academy Awards », the short movie « The Ostrich Politic », by HouHou (GOBELINS 2018), is eligible for the 2020 OSCARS, running for the category « Best Animated Short »!
