GOBELINS ranked 1st animation school worldwide!

# 1 animation school in the world
# 1st in Europe
# 1st in France

The specialized American website Animation Career Review has ranked GOBELINS as the number one animation school in the world, strenghthening its position and contributing to the influence of French excellence.

This year, 178 international animation schools and universities were competing. At the top of the rankings, both globally and in Europe, GOBELINS was rewarded for:

  • The excellence of its internationally recognized programs
  • The selectivity at entry
  • The technological means and the pedagogical environment
  • The constant quality of the work of students and young graduates
  • The program's reputation in the animation sector
  • Tuition fees and scholarships
  • The professional integration of the graduates

"This ranking is a source of pride and a reward for the teams that work with our talented students every day! The graduation film La Bestia, directed by our young graduates, has just been awarded a prize at the Annie Awards 2021, the equivalent of the Oscars for animation; awarded at the CINÉLEBU festival, it is now eligible for the Oscars. This 1st place is also the recognition of our equal opportunity policy and the unfailing support of our partners such as Mediawan and Netflix. It's a great recognition for everyone! "says Nathalie Berriat, Director of GOBELINS.

STATE-APPROVED DIPLOMAS

GOBELINS, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016, has gained international recognition. Today, it offers a complete curriculum that meets international standards: a Bachelor of Arts degree in 3 years and the possibility of pursuing a Master of Arts degree for two years. Its animation film designer and director training program has just obtained the visa for its diploma. A pre-preparatory animation course, a one-year 3D character animator course in partnership with CITIA in Annecy and a professional degree in audiovisual production management in partnership with the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, complete this training offer.

Among the most prestigious awards won by our graduates: a nomination at the OSCARS 2009 for Oktapodi, the "Annie Awards 2019" for Best Friend and 2021 for La Bestia, "LA Shorts 2019" for The Ostrich Politic, "Best Show" at the SIGGRAPH, "Best Student film" at Anima Mundi, "Special International Jury Prize" at Hiroshima, etc.

As the leading animation producer in Europe and the third largest in the world after the United States and Japan, France has a major influence on international production. A booming sector, GOBELINS' animation training programs have an insertion rate of close to 100%.
