GOBELINS ranked on TOP of international animation schools!
The website www.animationcareerreview.com ranks every year, since 2013, the best animation schools in the world. This year, 185 international schools and universities training in animation were competing.
In 2020, at the top of the rankings, both worldwide and in Europe, GOBELINS was rewarded for :
- The excellence of its internationally recognized programs
- Technological means and the pedagogical environment
- The constant quality of the work of the students and young graduates
- The program's reputation in the animation sector
- Professional integration of outgoing graduates
"This ranking is a pride and a reward for the teams that work with our talented students every day! It is also recognition of our equal opportunity policy: today we have more than 25% of scholarship students. In addition, our films regularly win awards. This year, in particular, our graduates were distinguished with a nomination for the Annie Awards - the equivalent of the OSCARS -, two selections at the Berlinale and a film was running for the 2020 OSCARS! It's a great recognition for everyone! ", says Nathalie Berriat, director of GOBELINS.
GOBELINS, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016, is the oldest animation school in France. Today, it offers a complete program that meets international standards: a Bachelor of Arts degree in 3 years and the possibility of continuing with a Master's degree for two years. A preparatory animation course, a one-year 3D character animator training course in partnership with CITIA in Annecy and a Professional Licence in audiovisual production management in partnership with the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée complete this training offer.
Among the most prestigious awards won by our graduates: a nomination at the 2009 OSCARS for Oktapodi, the "Annie Awards 2019" for Best Friend, "LA Shorts 2019" for The Ostrich Politic, "Best Show" at SIGGRAPH, "Best Student Film" at Anima Mundi (Brazil), "Special International Jury Prize" in Hiroshima, etc.!
As the leading animation producer in Europe and 3rd in the world after the United States and Japan, France has a major influence on international production. A booming sector, GOBELINS' animation training courses show an insertion rate close to 100%.
