Summer School Drawing for Movement (postponed due to COVID)

Who this course is aimed at
The program is designed for students or professionals with a strong desire to develop their gesture drawing skills. The course will interest people in animation, illustration, fashion, comic book, and graphic storytelling. Participants should have a previous life drawing experience. The program will be 100% in English and participants will need to have a level of English that will allow them to follow the lectures.
Summer school in Visual Storytelling (Level 1)

Who this course is aimed at
The program is designed for students or professionals, or in fact anyone, with a strong project and the desire to develop it into a fully realized work. A strong interest in questions related to storytelling and a taste for sharing ideas and working with others is recommended.
The program is 100% in English, however most of the teachers will be fluent in English and French, and some in Spanish.
Participants will need to have a level of English that will allow them to follow the lectures. In the workshops, however, participants will be working with tutors who will follow their projects in the language they feel most comfortable with (English, French, Spanish).

Master of Arts in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking

Who this course is aimed at
- Bachelor in Animation or Animated Filmmaking and/or 3 years of professional experience in the field
- No age limit
- Expected qualites : 2D and 3D animation, modeling and 3D rendering, design and background, color, storyboard or character design, proficiency in compositing with After effects. Animation with TV Paint, Animate, Toon Boom, Maya, ability to work in teams. Solid command of English.
3D Character Animator - Programme in English
GOBELINS campus Annecy
Who this course is aimed at
- Students with 2 years of studies after high school in the fields of 3D computer graphics or a minimum of two years of professional experience in these fields
- Proficiency in one of the 3D reference softwares : Maya, 3DSMax, XSI or Blender
- No age limit
Summer school in Animation

Who this course is aimed at
- Minimum age: participants must be over 18 y.o for the full package
- Requirements for those who would like to participate in the workshops (Full Package and Package 2):
- Background in Animation or Visual Arts
- Good drawing skills
- Proficiency in Animation softwares, such as TV paint for 2D Animation, or Maya for 3D Animation/ Except for traditional animators.
- If admitted to the course, you’ll be required to bring your own tablet with a stylus (ex: Wacom, Huion…). Please complete this information in the application form.
- Other profiles (production management…) who would like to get a better understanding of Character Animation can attend the morning lectures (no participation in the afternoon workshops) and may register as auditor.
- The programme is 100% in English, therefore applicants should have a good command of the language in order to follow the course.

Visual Storytelling
Who this course is aimed at
This course is designed for advanced-level students and young professionals from cinema, television, animation, comic book, video games and illustration to help them better understand the creative process, the structure and the presentation of visual storytelling and to develop a personal project. Participants should have a good command of English to follow the main lectures. The coaching sessions for individual projects are available in English, Spanish, and French.

Who this course is aimed at
The programme is designed for students or professionals with a strong desire to develop their gesture drawing skills. Who this course is aimed at
GOBELINS' individual coaching is designed to support professionals and young artists with a unique project they wish to develop with personalised guidance and follow-up. Whether you work in animation, comic books, video games or illustration, we will connect you to the relevant expert in your field of competence to meet the goals you defined.
GOEBLINS' individual coaching is available in English, French, Spanish and Chinese.
Online Course in 2D Animation
Who this course is aimed at
A previous experience in Animation basics/fundamentals is required so that students will benefit the most from the programme.
Such experience is mandatory in order to participate in the workshop activities which represent more than 50% of the programme. Consequently, candidates should master the use of TV Paint.
Other profiles such as professionals or students of Art Design and Production Management, could also get a better understanding of Character Animation from the main lectures, but will not be able to participate in the workshops.
The programme is 100% in English, therefore applicants should have a good command of the language in order to follow lectures and workshops.
