A project-based teaching method

As technology evolves rapidly in our professional fields, it is a priority for GOBELINS to adopt a firm positioning opened to innovation and adapted to professional realities. This is the ultimate ambition of our project-based teaching method.

Technical and creative virtuosity

Our teachers favour a learning process based on concrete working situations:

  • Creative workshops allow our students to confront their approach with professionals;
  • Sponsored projects – within the framework of pedagogical collaborations with institutions, associations and companies (national museums such as Quai Branly, Cité des sciences, Musée Picasso, or non-profit organisations such as Croix Rouge française, Action contre la faim,…) – train our students to face economic and organisational constraints.
  • End-of studies projects frequently receive awards and are known for their professional quality at the national and international level (SFR Young Talents Prize in photography, Europrix Top talents Awards in Multimedia, Silver medal at the Olympiad of Graphic Industry Professions, Oscar nomination for the short Animation film Oktapodi...). They show virtuosity in the mastering of technical tools and as well as creative fertility.

A different learning method

GOBELINS bets on active training methods that have a direct impact on students’ performance.
In a changing technological environment, it is vital to master technical tools and techniques. The school therefore brings to students the technical, software and production skills they will need in their career.

To adapt to market needs, companies play a major role within the school in numerous events: speed business meetings, professional encounters, participation to prospective committees and selection committees…
More than half of our programmes are also apprenticeships, especially in the graphic industry.  The apprentice benefits from an adapted follow-up.
