PANDANIM grants scholarship to a Chinese Student, a rising star in Animation

The animation studio PANDANIM joins GOBELINS Paris' equal opportunities programme by awarding a scholarship from the ATB Animation Talent Booster programme to a talented young Chinese student: Yulin YUE.

In 2018, GOBELINS Paris and Pandanim jointly launched the Animation Talent Booster (ATB) project aimed at Chinese students and young professionals. This program offers training and scholarships in the field of animation.

This scholarship will enable her to pursue her studies in a Master of Arts in animation. The donation will cover her tuition fees for one year.

Yulin Yue is a young animator from Shandong, China. She graduated from the University of Communication in China in June 2023, with a specialization in animation. During her studies, she created short films such as Fish In The Bus and Swimming Day. Yulin aims to showcase the beauty of the world through animation and hopes to become a character designer and animator.

"Thank you to PANDANIM! It is a great honor for me to benefit the scholarship! After arriving in Paris, my life is full of novelty and unknown. I would like to thank my family who always give me love and strength and every friend who helped me. I hope that I can enjoy creating here and I am looking forward to new adventures in GOBELINS!"

The PANDANIM scholarship, a scholarship from the ATB Animation Talent Booster programme

To assist Chinese students in studying in France, PANDANIM has created an online educational program accredited by the DIRECCTE.

Since 2018, around a hundred Chinese students have benefited from it, and about twenty have joined GOBELINS Paris programs: Master or Bachelor of Art and 3D Character Animators.

David Ma is very proud to see these students integrate into the school.

"The international evolution of animation education has led to real progress in storytelling, which particularly appeals to Chinese students. I hope this scholarship will encourage many Chinese talents to apply. We aim to go beyond a simple financial contribution and have the ambition to help them develop their professional projects upon graduation", David Ma, founder of the PANDANIM studio.

« GOBELINS Paris is delighted to collaborate with Pandanim. The scholarship they provide to our student supports the school in its mission to offer excellent animation education accessible to students worldwide. »
